Mortgage Renewal Information - Paperwork


So now that you have learned the rules, followed the strategies and assured yourself of getting the best rate at the time of renewal, what are the next steps? Transferring a mortgage is relatively hassle free, however, anytime you are trying to get a discounted rate there will always be some paperwork to collect. Generally all that is needed is proof of incomes, an employment letter and last years T-4. Copy of the original Mortgage document (Form B). It is sometimes a good idea to have the following documents on hand as some lenders will require them.

  • Property Assessment
  • Property Tax Certificate
  • Copy of Fire Insurance
